The smoke wafts past my nose, tickling my senses with dark promise. It is thick, so thick; it feels as though velvet is drifting through the air around me, caressing all and touching nothing. Wisps curl and dance in the evening breeze and disperse into the darkness, seeping into the decaying rust coloured bricks of the wall. The sun begins to set and the pipe glows fiery red, the silhouette of a man leaning against the bricks striking me.
